Terms of Service

How We Work Together

These terms outline what you can expect from urwebdev and what we expect from you when you use our site or work with us on a custom project.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By visiting this site or engaging urwebdev for services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don’t agree, please refrain from using the site or submitting project inquiries.

2. Use of the Website

  • Use the site for lawful purposes only.
  • No automated scraping, spam, or security probing.
  • You will not attempt to impersonate others or misrepresent your identity.

3. Services

urwebdev provides custom web design, development, and consulting. Every engagement is scoped individually. Pricing provided via the calculator is an estimate only; final proposals detail scope, timeline, and payment terms.

3.5 Scope Changes & Requests

Projects include a defined scope outlined in the proposal. Any requests beyond the agreed scope (“scope creep”) will be evaluated separately and may require revised timelines and budgets. Additional work is billed at our hourly rate of $150/hour or via a change order.

3.6 Post-Launch Support

We provide a 30-day post-launch support window for bug fixes related to the delivered scope. Ongoing maintenance, enhancements, and hosting support are offered via separate maintenance plans.

3.7 Timeline Variability

Timeline estimates assume timely client feedback and content delivery. Delays outside of urwebdev’s control (e.g., third-party approvals, late feedback) may extend timelines without penalty. We’ll notify you promptly if we anticipate changes.

4. Client Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate project details, content, and feedback in a timely manner.
  • Ensure you have rights to any assets or data you supply.
  • Meet agreed payment schedules and approvals.

Clients agree to review deliverables within five (5) business days. Projects with no feedback for 14 days may be paused; reactivation may require an additional fee and new timeline.

5. Payments & Refunds

Projects typically require an initial deposit with staged payments tied to milestones. Deposits are non-refundable once work begins. If a project is paused or cancelled by the client, work completed to date is billable.

5.5 Confidentiality

We treat all project information as confidential. Deliverables may be showcased in our portfolio unless you request otherwise in writing. We may discuss general, non-identifying project details (industry, timeline ranges) for marketing purposes.

6. Intellectual Property

Clients own final deliverables upon full payment unless otherwise agreed. urwebdev retains rights to underlying tools, frameworks, and reusable components. We may showcase completed work (excluding confidential projects) in our portfolio.

7. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The site is provided “as is.” We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee uninterrupted service or error-free content. urwebdev is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or issues arising from third-party services.

Code Warranty: Delivered code and designs function as specified at handoff. We do not warrant compatibility with all third-party plugins or future platform updates. Clients are responsible for backups, hosting environments, and ongoing maintenance unless under a maintenance plan.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate a project with written notice. Clients are responsible for payment for work completed up to termination. Access to project files may be paused for overdue invoices.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of California, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in California, unless mutually agreed otherwise.

Dispute Resolution: Before taking legal action, both parties agree to attempt resolution through written communication within 14 days. If unresolved, we may pursue mediation or small claims court.

Force Majeure: urwebdev is not liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, major outages, pandemics, etc.).

10. Updates

We may update these terms to reflect changes in services or regulations. Continued use of the site after updates constitutes acceptance.
